THE VINEYARD

The vineyard of Château de La Ligne is located in Lignan-de-Bordeaux, at the heart of the Entre-Deux-Mers wine region of Bordeaux.

The vines benefit from an exceptional south-south westerly facing hilltop location and clay – limestone soils, with some gravelly areas at the south eastern corner of the vineyard, where the Cabernet Sauvignon plots are located.

THE CELLARS

Discover the winery, the origins of which date back to the Middle Ages. This is where our wine is produced.

In fact, from the second half of the twelfth century, monks from the Knights Hospitallers made wine on this site. We know this because the remains of the monastery still exist along one side of the Estate. Wine was exported to England from that time onward.
