Chateau de La Ligne Tasting 13th November 2012

Chateau de La Ligne was introduced to the Northern Ireland Wine & Spirit Institute at one of their tasting event yesterday in the Ramada Encore

The NIWSI really is like a big family trying to promote wine education in Northern Ireland – They are currently taking members if anyone is interested.

We introduced 4 of our vintages – 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 to let the members see and taste the difference between each year.

One of the members explained that he had tasted Bordeaux in the past and found them harsh, yet Chateau de La Ligne was very approachable to him. As Alastair rightly said, it is due to the fact that Entre-deux-mers wines use mostly Merlot in their blend, bringing more roundness and supple tannins to the austerity of Cabernet Sauvignon used on the other “rive”. Chateau de La Ligne won the heart of the NIWSI members

Chateau de La Ligne wines are available through our distributors Febvre in NI, Flint Wines in UK, Dunnes, Costcutter & Applegreen in ROI.
